i am interested in getting a perspective on to what extent PT's are bought by either a dedicated Mopar customer or someone with no strong brand preference who thinks they are "cool". thank you

I bought my PT because it is unique and "cool"!
Nothing else out there quite like it.

Because I like the looks . Also have a 98 Sebring but that was my first Chrysler product.

Retired to Florida and needed a 4 door because I had 2 other cars with not enough room for visitors. Couldn't deceide on what to get, then the PT hit the market and it was a dream come true. Always a Chevy fan, but the PT was enough to make me try DH. 30,000 miles and no problems.

Defintely not because it was a Chrysler. In fact, I have had some less then good experience with Chrysler and this made me hesitant to buy the PT. So I waited a year, talked with friends who had driven their 2001's without a problem and put the deposit down on the Dream Cruiser. It is definitely the looks, inside and out. Had been holding out for the GT, but with no definite word on the turbo, I am happy to settle with the limited production DC. Expecting that I won't see many Inca Gold PT's unless I head up to Cruise the Falls.

I hadn't even considered owning an American car since the early 70's. I've owned Hondas and Toyotas, and loved them both for their overall reliablity, fit, finish, and resale value. Not untill The PT came out would I have gone any other way. The styling just flat knocked me out..had to have one. I too thought I could wait for a GT Cruiser, or especially a two-door Panel version, but the fever took over.

Just had to add...every time I see that front bumper, it makes me smile. That has got to be one of the coolest front ends out there. Can't wait to see the back bumper when you're done with it!

What is it that should have put him away? OJSDNA!

Had to throw my two cents in. Don, it really really REALLY looks fine with that bumper. I was looking to do something like that, and since you did it....... there needs to be one of a kind, and you have it. Hope to be able to see it in person.... one of these days.

Thanks for the compliments!!! I plan to have the back done as soon as I can afford it. The back bumper will not have the curve in it because that would get in the way of the license plate. At this point I plan to be in Vegas for part of the weekend at least. Hope to see you there.
