I was just curious...where did these forums come from? I just wanted to know who writes the codebase for it and if it can be obtained for use on other sites, and any costs involved.

This forum uses Snitz. You need to know a bit about ASP programming and Access databases to set it up....as well as pay a hosting service a monthly fee for ASP and database usage.

The ezboard is simpler for beginners, they host your boards on their website, and hook it all up for you. However, they put their own banner ads on your boards if you choose not to pay them.
