39 and no I'm not holding there. I've owned my '02 taupe touring since 12/01. Seems like I'm spending alot of money for changes that are too subtle for anyone but PT people. Ah, the rest of them don't count anyways.

how do these 16 and 17 year old guys get brand new 17000.00 +cars and a couple of em claim two, ...dont you have to be old enough to drive?
now dont get mad ,im just kidding.
mines a 2001 with 65 k on it allready, was white , but we shot a bunch of clear with "house of color blue pearl in it ,came out nice .doing true ghost flames next week in another pearl thats a bit lighter kind of turquose ,does a really trick ghost effect.
all the other mods that have been done are not your typical ,"rhetro ,fuzzy dice ,chromowoodie ,boring same old same old.
i get more stares from pt oweners then anyone else and its fun talking to them cause i dont think the kind of things i did were even considerd by the pt crowd, my thinking was more along the lines of an italian exotic then then a modern hotrod.
without bragging about all the form before fashion up grades ill just get a pic up soon as i can and you'll see what i mean , and if anyones interested i can tell the stories of all the wasted money spent buying cool stuff that didnt work but i thought i could make it somehow, but, the ones that did work turned out better then i thought. its one of thouse deals that you would have to see, a parts list wouldn't make sence i will just say this theres a blower involved, 18 in. wheels [9 lbs each ] 40 series rubber,i got the car new with a automatic transe, which i didnt want but at 13.000.00 out the door i managed, but the transe has been beefed up by a transe guy i know who did it just cause every one told us we couldnt do anything with it, and to loose a bit more grip on reality , a B&M quicksilver racing auto trans ratchet shifter was instaled with min. modifacation,in fact that one is the most pt cruiser like thing done and they arent even made to work with a f.w.d. car, but it was suprizingly easy, and with mod shifting and better shift points the ratchet action is way cool, chrome ergo curved flat stick w/ anodized red ,alloy t-handle,so bad. i could post a step by step if any one was interested. anyway im affraid i got way to obscest with this, momo street racer seats, momo tornado wheel [no airbags anymore but, a very trick set of schroth 4 pt german racing harnesess tha are computer controlled to allow you to move around freely unlike most racin belts, but as soon as the controll unit senses a radical increase in excellaration, desellaration ,incline ,decline or moderatly hard Gs, they reel you in!,too cool. a bunch of serious suspension work, and oh yeah a totaly stealth audio sstemwith a matched set of momo/polk drivers in all the stock possitions a german speck blaupunkt hamburg head unit with parametric eq,controll mounted on the momo st. wheel all pushed with a 4 chan. Butler vacume tube amp. the polks are ok but im going too b&G neo 8 electrastatic ribbon drivers that are just perfect w/the hybrid tube amp ,and what i like best about it is car audio people have no idea what it is
and most important theres NO fuzzy dice, no 8 ball shiftenob, no bullit tail lights,no chrome grill and most important, none of thouse led winshield squirters
well now that ive shot off my mounth and pissed off a few people id better post so good shots and it would be cool if somebody were interestedin one or more of the mods that were done, asyou can tell , i dont mind talking about it
mab
ps if any one wants to know how i stuffed a 12 in ceramic polk sub and the amp both in the left rear storage space ,including 1.44 cubic feet forthe sub .... email me ill fill y a in .
thanks for having a nice site where i could babble

Really, the Very [u]young PT owners are not the norm. I only wish that when I was that age I could have had a car worth more than $500! I'm 38 now, and just got my 2002 in January. So far most of the mods we have done are chromes. Love the look of the lakepipes and the B/C pillar covers on my silver pt. We are off to a poker/dinner run with the rest of the club tomorrow, when my husband turns 55! The biggest thing about age is whether or not you choose to grow up. NEVER!!!!!!!!!

57 here. Started to "reverse age" about 12 years ago went I got my first Red TOY, then the Cruiser came along in 2000 and another big leap backwards...at this rate I'll be too young to drive my pride and joys.
