Help Please. Speedometer Calibration in New York

I need to get the speedometer on a 2001 PT calibrated for an impending speeding/reckless driving trial in Virginia (even though I reside in New York City). My lawyer suggested that getting a calibration certificate could potentially help by either showing that the speedometer was off or showing that I made the effort. The only problem is that I can't seem to be able to find any one in the New York City area who does such a thing. I called several dealerships, garages, and automotive stores to no avail. Does any one have any suggestions or know of a place in the Tri-State area that can calibrate a speedometer? Many thanks in advance. Feel free to email me at ckoh@dnastudio.com.

You might try calling the NY State Police and ask them how they get their spedo's calibrated, possibly even the NY City Police. Just a suggestion.
