Default "03" PT

Has anyone seen or heard anything about changes of the "03" crusiers ( base, touring & Ltd) . Think they should be building them shortly?

I was at the dealers Sat. looking at a couple of "03"'s, Limited models. I think all models except base have body colored Bumpers, also the geart shift knob on the Automatic is a White Ball., Tried to find out about any HP upgrade, however the window sticker says nothing and the Dealer and I looked at the owners manual and the dealers sheets, it says nothing about HP. So I presume either if they did anything it is a late change, or no change at all due to the upcomming Turbo in the Fall. Anyone have any info? Bob

There are several links and specifications on the 2003 Turbo Cruiser on this site, left hand side, halfway down the page:

I took delivery on my "03" Woody Limited last week, have 500 miles on it already and the outward apprearance is the same except for body colored bumpers front and rear, however it seems to be faster out of the blocks, cannot find out what HP change there is if any, or if in the gearing, but it definetly feels quicker.

Perhaps they just increased the low end torque?<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

2003s have been decontented somewhat, not in terms of equpiment content (like CD player, etc), but in terms of material quality and cost.

When did the PT's start getting passenger side armrests? I was at the dealer yesterday, and all of their PT's had passenger side armrests. Everyone that rides with me always complains about that, but I don't exactly want to pay to have one put in it right now.

Go to www.kbb.com (Kelley Blue Book) for pricing information and specs on the 2003 PT Cruiser. The specs for the 2003 engine is unchanged except of course for the turbo model.

TSATRASEN: I took early delivery of two 2002 limiteds July 12 2001. Both had pasenger arm rests. I am told that it was standard & included with the 2002. I can't say that is true for the Touring & Basic editions, but it is for the Limited.
