Hi,

Andrew from England here. Quick question, is there a known history of paint problems with the PT Cruiser? Want to buy one but a few seem to have dodgy paint work between the doors (where it is black), they almost look like they have run and then dried streaked.

The black window pillars are a problem. People have found out what to use to clean them, but I never figured it out. Mine have since been colored silver and are incredibly good looking and easy to clean. Otherwise, PT Cruisers don't have any common paint problems.

Thanks for getting back to usHave since spoken to my Chrysler dealership in Preston. They reckon it is caused by acid rain and can be treated with washing-up liquid! Pending insurance details I am going to buy one tomorrow night.

Good luck with your purchase. I'm sure you won't be disapointed with the PT. You'll be able to keep up with the best of them on the M6. You'll just have to be carefull and pick a good spot to get around the caravans. Spent 12 years in the Yorkshire area, the last three with my Corvette. Happy cruisin over there and take a couple pics of your new PT in the lake district...that was our favorite get-away.

Thanks for the kind words. Just phoned insurance and am going to go tonight for test drive / purchase. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Am really looking forward to it. Which internet posting site would you recommend? Will probably take pictures near Pendle Hill. Will keep everyone posted on developments.
