Thanks for the info crewzin. I'll try it in a car park before I go through a narrow alley way

Andrew,
Don't know...didn't notice it before you said something. Must have something to do with the amount of posts i've contributed to. Just looked at another post. Every other one is colored so my guess is that it helps seperate the different answers and makes it easier to read. ![]() Edited by - crewzin on 07/10/2002 21:33:32 |

Hi Andrew,
Those mirrors you are refering to maybe the electric folding ones which i have on my 02 classic (aussie model). They are electric adjustable and have an extra switch to fold them in to the body line and out again for close parking. I understand that they are an option on the USA models, they come as part of an electric option for rear window/mirror heaters and seats i think. But it is standard fitment on all aussie models, maybe same for UK as they are all considered export models. Happy crewzin Shaun |

Shaun,
That option must be an overseas thing. Never heard of it stateside and never heard anyone even talk about it. It's also not on a list I have of all the options I could have chosen when I ordered my PT. I have the electric option of rear window/outside mirrors but the heated seat wasn't an option till the 2002 came out. ![]() |

RN,
I think (hope) he was referring to the yellow color in back of my posts here on this forum. I'm pretty sure it's just that I happen to post every other one on this particular forum question and the site colors in the background of every other posting so mine looks like it has a yellow background...I'm sure not doing anything to make it do that <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> ![]() |

Base models in the US do not have folding mirrors. the Touring and Limited Edition models do (heated and electric adjust). They fold forward or backward manually. Only the exports are equipped with the motorized folding feature according to the 2002 service manual and this feature is not an option on US models.

Thanks for the info tpscruiser. Picked up mu Cruiser a week ago. The mirrors are powered (really cool). Can't get over the attention the car gets. People flash lights, wave and beep horns all over the shop.
