I'm new to the group and picking up my new 2002 Patriot Blue Woodie TE tomorrow
. I was wondering, my car is garaged at night, but is exposed to all the elements while parked at my office, how many of you use car covers when your beloved cruiser is out of doors? Any special brand you would recommend? I used to cover my classic TR3, when I had it, and thought covers were somewhat of a pain. But now, with my new PT, I want to protect the paint and the vinyl "Woodie" from the California sun and smog. Just thought I'd ask. Clear Skies! By the way, my new license plate will reflect my hobby and my car, a "Star" symbol (available in CA) followed by CRWZR!-- Scott Baker http://members.cts.com/nebula/s/scottb80/ San Diego Astronomy Association http://www.sdaa.org International Dark-Sky Association http://www.darksky.org |

Scott,
Welcome to the forum. Your TR3 was probably a lot easier to throw a cover over than the PT, so it might become a pain after awhile. I bought my cover from www.cruiserbits.com but there a lot of other aftermarket suppliers including Chrysler themselves that make a PT cover. I use mine when I visit my son up north when they call for bad weather. Maybe you can find a place near your office with shade for part of the day...just an idea. Have fun with your cruiser and you might want to pick up one of these t-shirts featuring your name. ![]() ![]() |

CREWZIN,
Absolutely perfect shirt for my car, even the color is right, it's too bad they only have mediums left in stock, it's been a LONG time since this torso saw a medium anything Thanks for the thought though, I'll send T-ShirtKing an email to see if they could do a special for me in an X-Large ![]() Scott B) |
