Looking at drawings and descriptions...it seems someone took MY car, rounded off the front, removed the back doors and ran with it... I mean, I'm shooting for Powertrip's 300 whp turbo, I have a 15" LCD screen in the back with PS2 (considered 18.1" screen but it wouldn't fit) and the whole stereo to match. The Super Cruiser gets the turbo, stereo and 22" LCD screen with Xbox. To be honest, I don't like having DONE something and take pride in it, in being unique, to have a GROUP with a LOT more money come along behind me and take from what makes me stand out. If I had that kinda money, I'd be done now...but I don't.

With how much crap I've put online, it's possible but far from certain. It's called a "concept" or something yet they were NOT the first to think of it... Hell, the fiberglass and interior work on mine is being done NOW and will be done before Myrtle Beach. Turbo work will be a bit longer but not if I had the money to do it now... Come to think of it, I don't think they copied me at all. However, notice it's not even done yet, while mine is mostly done, and they get all sorts of articles about it while snotty Viper owners can still refuse to judge mine at shows. What is mildly upsetting is something hyping the vehicle as new and the cool thing and all when I've already gone down that road without the faintest peep out of such people.

Well, ofcourse they did research on what people are doing to there PT's now, becasue its called the "Super Cruiser" meaning it has everything, so probably a group of researches checked out the "coolest" PT's out there, the was that were suited up with everytihng, put it all into one, and made there concept.

Thanks...as I stated above though, it's got a long way to go before being done. I guess if they make theirs like that, I could just carry through with ALL plans for the car and be the individual that outdoes a group that can release a car at SEMA or whatever.

Hey, you know what they say about immitation being the sincerest form of flattery....Take heart, RN. Your Cruiser is unique in it's own way. Don't let the fact that another might resemble it in certain areas bother you. I'll see a PT online occaisionally with the same two-tone colors as mine, and yeah, it makes me wounder if they saw mine and copied it..but on the other hand, I know I'll never see it where I live, so I'm alright with it. Never in all my 30 years of motorhead-dom (is that a word?) have I seen a car that people just can't leave alone like the PT. Soooo many people take these cars waaayyy too far and absolutley destroy the look that was so cool to begin with. Your's on the other hand, although highly modified, continues to do so in a subtle way. Please don't take it so far on a quest for total "uniqueness" that it too, looks rediculose.

Nothing we do is totally unique to us, especially if we try to keep to the original lines and concept of the PT Cruiser. The fact that someone else is doing what you have started is rather normal. I know that there are some who have copied some of the things that I have done. Rich Davis, at Streamline Design, has admitted that his rear hatch flames were designed after mine. That's OK. I got the idea from someone else anyway. The most important thing to remember is that you need to make your ride what you want it to be and don't worry about everyone else, especially if they coppy your ideas. If your ideas are good it will happen.
