Gas hood struts

Has anyone had a problem with gas hood struts causing a bowing or flexing of a stock hood? Thanks

Not so far had mine over 6 months no problems.......

Nope mine did not change the hood angle at all!! Just makes things a lot easier and safer!!

Ditto to all of the above. I had heard some owners did have hood alignment problems with their struts, but it probably depends on where you buy the struts. I highly recommend Blaneb, he sells them on ebay, but I purchased mine directly from him at his Web-site. Check out the Vendors and Buyers Forum on this link. I think you'll be happy with his product. E-a-s-y installation too.

Thanks for all the responses! I think I'll get the Blaneb's. I was just concerned about the compressed forces of the struts putting too much pressure on the hood. I'm just used to heavy steel hoods.
