There were a lot of problems with smoothies in the beginning. I bought a set in July of 2000 for the first PT I installed them on..they were 15x6's. It took three times to get em balanced correctly but eventually they did smooth out. I bought a second set last summer..16x6's and they, too, were slightly out of round. I had to have them balanced several times before they were smooth. The person doing the balancing really has to know their stuff. I don't regret buying them at all. They look great. Mine are color-matched smoothies. A lot of people go with the chrome..but I like the pure retro flavor of the painted ones with moons and beauty rings..so much more old-style street rod looking. Many people have complimented the smoothies as their favorite addition to the car. Several companies have them, but Wheel Vintiques pretty much has a corner on the market and sells them to other dealers as well. Price is right around $500. Check out their website at wheelvintiques.com...happy cruisin.

Thanks for the kind words 'bout both, site and Cruiser. 2sb the Grille is "high quality extruded plastic chrome bars" that attach directly to the existing grille. That is straight from the Moss Motors Book. But, Its still $99.95 for 12 strips of shiney plastic. (2 extra strips just in case) My wife was doubting my sanity. I even started to ask myself "what the ____ was I thinking???? Then after I installed them and stepped back I new it was all OK. ![]() I installed the Chrome tail lights yesterday and I will have new Pics of them on the site by Saturday night. Cruisergeo My Website is http://cruisergeo.tripod.com/ Edited by - cruisergeo on 01/29/2003 19:43:04 |

I'm planning to get some 16x6 Wheel Vintiques smoothies fairly soon. According to a friend who has them, they are holding up very well.
