Glass can be polished, go to a local glass shop, they have the tools and process that will improve it somewhat/ turbomangt

3M makes some "invisible" plastic strips for the hoodegde. That seems to be the most hit area. Go to any detail shop they sell the strip by footage. Other than that, not much out there.
After all you drive on a road with others and they can throw up debris anywhere. I like to keep my distance from graveltrucks and the like. On slushy roads keep to the right side and give passing cars lots of room

All I can say is that I hate rock chips too. That is why I did something about it. I installed a clear bra with the 3M product. Holy smokes has that saved me. I abuse my truck and I dont have to get pissed when I get a chip anymore.

The cost was more than a black bra but not bad. The place I got it from sold it to me for $200.00. That is a lot cheaper than a paint job, right? If you guys want to check it out it is www.rockblocker.com. I hope this helps you guys out.

I have my own graphic company that I bought my PT/GT for. I travel to dealerships & install 3M paint protection film on new vehicles. The complete front of my PT is covered with 3M and you can hardly see it. I live in Canada but the program is out of Texas. Check out http://www.xpel.com/ good luck.

Revisiting this thread that I began. The solution to "repairing" the rock chips is using the OE color stick and finishing with the Langka product. looks good as new. Looks like this may be a constant problem, though. Lousy paint!!!

Hey Turbomangt....

I think you live near my home town of Clarendon Hills and Hinsdale!

On another subject, I checked your site for info on scratches/rock chips, and last weekend I tried to cover up an unfortunate scratch on my passenger's door (think it was from a shopping cart). I couldn't get the scratch covered correctly, even with a fine brush...I think it might be the thickness of the paint; I'll have to try your suggestion. Any other suggestions? The scratch is only about 1-1/2 inches long, and is down toward the bottom of the pass door...I have electric blue, and although the color is similar, I don't think it's an exact match.
