Default extruded plastic chrome

has anyone had extended experience with extruded chrome? does it hold up? Reading through some other posts it seams that black ptgt owners, like myself, want more chrome...as do I(not much just enough to highlight areas). Why did DC discontinue the beltline chrome? Pt works has some at a fairly reasonable price but I don't want to buy junk. As for grills and performance parts I was reading through some sights that are now saying that new turbo billet grills and performance parts will be out soon so I plan on waiting till then.

In my humble opinion, stay away from the extruded parts whenever possible. I purchased a beltline from ptwerks and it wasn't up to the standards I had hoped for. It is exactly what it says it is - chromed plastic. Same for their grill. So, I purchased a Stull billet grill and Stull beltline. Very satisfied. You definitely get what you pay for. I'm going with polished billet or polished stainless to stay away from extruded. If that's all that's left, I'll get the plastic, but again, you will get what you pay for.

ote, go to ptcruiserlinks.com and check out all the links to vendors. Many of them carry stull, and you never know when one or another might be having a sale. Oh, and as Bob would say, check ebay.
