Can anyone recommend a really good car polish for my 2002 Taupe Frost Cruiser. We live near the beach and the Cruiser is parked outside.
(The wife's car gets the garage. Oh well you know, "first among equals". Thank you. |

I use and like Maguiars. A week after applying, it shines up after a rain like it was just applied again.
First among equals reminds me of animal farm... "Yes, we're all equal, but some are more equal than others." If you haven't cruised Maryland, you haven't cruised. (unless you cruised somewhere else) |

Meguiar's is certainly excellent. Also, you might want to consider "Mother's California Gold". People with "show cars" have told me this is a great product.
"Other than driving my Inferno Red GT Turbo I'd rather be fishing ."

I like the Mother's pure carnuba wax. No additives. Just a personal preference. There are many good products, just not on the discount shelf at Pep Boys.

I am like Jody I am a true fan of Zanio's. I saw that same picture of Jody's car on another thread and did some more research and decided on Zanio. I cant tell you how well this stuff works and I still have two more coats to go.

Dennis, you rang my bell. Asking what polish is best you will invite dozens of responses. First thing to rememebr is this. Polish in the professional sense of the term "does NOT protect your finish. A polish is used to remove fine surface scratches and to restore shine/depth. The critical phase of getting a great looking finish is to wash/clean properly. (using a clay car) using a polish designed for the correct method you will apply it with (hand/high speed rotary/ DAPC ) if you have swirl marks thats another step all together. For your final protection step, you can use a wax or paint sealant. I use synthetic finishes in my detail shop because they last longer, and my customers like that. Most people don't know that the best wax, under ideal conditions lasts only one month. Suprised? It's true. I teach auto detailing, speak at car shows, and host discussions on professional web sites that include enthusiasts all over the globe. Rather than talk about specific brands on this forum, e mail me through my web site and I'll walk you through step by step on how to get the best looking finish in town. www.perfectautofinish.com Gary...............turbomangt
