Default damn varmints!

I spent last weekend replacing or recovering all my hoses with blue silicone hose. Went out today and some kinda rodent chewed holes in my boost gauge, PCV valve hose and chewed on a few others. There were little chips of blue EVERYWHERE! I hope the little
b@$%&*d choked! Glad i checked before i attemped to start it. No more slowing down or swirving to avoid hitting those little $h!ts. May even go outa my way to getem...LoL! First that damn groundhog gave us 6 more weeks of winter now this

Sorry to hear that Kevin. Hope it's not expensive to repair. I wonder what kind of rodent chews hoses?

Years ago we had an unmarked take-home police car that squirrels ate the wiring harness out of three times, right up by the brake booster. You weren't mulching food while doing this to leave "flavor" on the hoses were you? Might try wiping everything down with some rubbing alchol.

If you want to keep rodents out from under the hood, try mothballs. Easiest way is to put a bunch of mothballs in an old sock tied at the top. I had mice getting into a couple of my vehicles, and this trick worked for me.
