If you want the MA car, why not fly up and drive back? You'll get a chance to see it first. Check around for some cheap airfare. Drop by on your way back?
I can't say where the "old PT" came from because I forgot! When starting on ours, I scanned the web and made a scrapbook of different styles, what I liked, what I didn't, and tried to decide between Good, Better, and Best for final choices on the car before I bought everything in sight. If you decide on this tail light chrome, I'll post the "glueing procedure" I used. We just didn't see any ones we liked better. Unless they've been improved, most posts say those chrome bumpers aren't very "dentproof". Check CLASSIFIEDS "...GT mod sale" on the forum. You can stock up on aquamarine paint for your accessories. Got a few reasons why we don't want to fly up/drive back. First bein' we don't like planes...but main reason is I really don't want to thrust this baby into a 2,000 mile road trip right off the bat...she's never had her oil changed, and that's the very FIRST thing that happens when she's taken off the truck. Plus we figured that after we paid for plane, motels, gas & food, it wouldn't really be that much cheaper.....AND....we get to watch this really cool truck <http://intercitylines.com> drive right up to our driveway and deliver her to us.....and we're actually going to take a trip up I-35 to Iowa in June, so we'll stop by and see ya then...and we're definitely planning on going to Cruise The Rockies in CO Springs in Aug!!!!!
As far as "before I bought everything in sight"....OH YEAH....I am understanding that one completely....I've got the list of chorme and other goodies started....it's scary already....I can see all my paychecks for the next year or two magically vanishing.........shudder..... We're gonna think about those bumpers, but those really are the ones that look most "real" to our eye. We're gonna hold off on that taillight chrome until we decide if it's worth going for those Caddie lights....those are rockin'. And many thanks for the heads up on the paint....I'm gonna see if he's still got it. One of the main things I'd like to do is paint the central radio trim to match the dash panels...I hope the Chrysler spray paint will give a good finish....I'm guessing PT DIY has some tips....but that's all in the future....right now it's one more week and some change worth of wait....we've been waiting two years....I guess it won't hurt to wait a little more! beebs Quote:

Oh yeah...almost forgot...did an online VIN search on it and the guy is very much legit. The records showed that when the first year's registration was done, it only had ELEVEN miles on it!!!! And we've spoken with the fellow three times so far, and everything feels right. He's including those "Kleen-wheels" brake-dust shields (he got a set and hasn't had 'em put on yet) in the deal, which is nice.

beebs, just an idea, why not het a new pt, maybe even a gtpt and go to your paint shope and get them to paint it your fatory Aquamarine that you like. this way there is a 100% chance that no one has done any thing to it. they would probly install all the crome you want.
just an idea..... Deep Cranberry Pearl Coat GT ~ 5 speed |

Well, we found out this weekend that our little Prudence is being put onto the transport truck sometime soon after 5:00 pm EST this evening! Got a call from the fellow in MA and the trucking company told him to expect them Monday after work. WOOOOOHOOOOOOO! We just might have our little gem by the weekend!!!!!
We thought about having a new one repainted, and that would have been way more hassle and expense than buying this car and having it shipped....I mean, my gawd, it doesn't even have 2,000 miles on it yet! We've got no doubts as to the condition and history of the car: it has been babied to the nth degree since it was built. It's exactly what we've wanted for two whole years, and it's finally OURS! WoooooHOOOOOOO!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> beebs |

Yes, indeedy...here's the URL for the pics.
http://users3.ev1.net/~charbee/prudence/prudence.html And I just put up two new pages of pics today: http://users3.ev1.net/~charbee/prudence/cozy/cozy.html http://users3.ev1.net/~charbee/prude...ic/picnic.html We've put just over 750 miles on her since we got her, and we have no complaints. She's still as clean as she was, haven't had to wash her yet, we're being "very careful" with her . We're about to leave on the 31st for a 2,400 mile trip to Iowa and back, our first real roadtrip. Woohoo! this is the most wonderful car! It fits us like a glove!beebs Quote:
