Sunroof Question

With the beginning of nicer weather, I think I've found another feature DC deleted on the '03 model (or the GT - not sure which). The sunroof doesn't open all the way! On the '01 LE, I could push the express open and the roof would go back most of the way 85%. Another push and hold of the button would then pull the sunroof completely back so that none of the glass or liner was showing. Now, when I do the second push I get nothing.

AHHHHHGGHH! The all-open position was not so good at speed because it led to more of the "helicoptering" noise (which could be minimized by cracking the back windows), but it was great for low speed cruisin' and it looked much better.

I'd appreciate it if someone could confirm for me that this is the way it is supposed to behave on the '03. At first I thought it was defective, but the more I think about it, I'll bet DC decided the wind complaints were not worth it and cut the 100% open feature out.

Sorry to revive the gripe list of feature deletions, but I'm adding this one to it. 1. High note horn (I like how they put "Low Note Horn" on the sticker like it's a feature, 2. Heated mirrors, 3. Completely opening sunroof.

I just went out to the garage to try the sunroof. I really don't use it that much. I slid the cover back and it only opened about 85%. I hit the button and the roof panal starting sliding back and when it got as far as the cover it then started pushing the cover until both went all the way open except for about an inch.

CREWZIN, If you press and hold the "open" button again after the automatic open stops at about an inch, does it then go back further? Also, what year is yours?

kgdptblue, If your '01 went all the way in and the '03 does the same, I guess mine is defective.

The inside cover is all the way open, can't even see it. The sunroof itself goes back almost all the way but nomatter what I do, there's still about an inch of it that I can see.

If yours opens up all the way, I'm takin my GT back to the dealer to have it fixed!

I took delievery on March 12! I just went out and pushed the snow off the roof, haven't been driving her because of the sh*ty weather here and took a closer look. Mine opens to about 3" in the center but the sun screen will go all the way back if I push it the extra!! <img src=icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle> I'll add this one to my list of dealer complaints for the first oil change. I don't see a reason for the roof not opeining all the way!<img src=icon_smile_angry.gif border=0 align=middle> Oh and you can get the mirrors from the 02 which were folding and heated for about 100 ea. the plug is supposed to still be there.
