I'm going to redesign this web site. Hoping to launch the new design around June 1st. I'm looking for ideas and suggestions from you! What would you like to see more of or less of? What type of feature(s) would you like to see? How could this site be better? What would you like? I'm all ears. Thanks. <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> __ Jody 03 Steel Blue GT Loaded Autostick - weatherstrip-less - airbox silencers removed - Revell shift knob > my pics |

Jody, you've provided one of the best PT Cruiser sites for quite a while. I certainly have used it often. There are times when this is the only place to find certain information. As far as mods are concerned, I'd suggest updating your links. Some of them are very accurate while others don't seem to clearly state what we'll find when we go to the site. Perhaps a better explanation of each site would help. You might also create some different categories. I wish I could make some suggestions, but I think, as you look through your lists, that you will find different ways to list them. Good luck in making your changes. Thanks for asking.

I am a creature of habit. I like my old comfortable jeans, my broke-in boots and tennis shoes and I am comfortable with the site like it is. Sorry, not much help in making it really cutting edge I guess, but I think you have a great, very inforative site as it is. I always stop here 1st.
Inferno Red GT, chrome wheels, chrome AMP fuel door, chrome side spears, PT Cruiser 3rd light diffuser, silencers removed from airbox...ain't this car fun?!?!? |

I typically am looking for new posts since I visit this site several times a day. One thing that I have found helpful on some sites is the ability after you have selected a thread, to jump to your last read post in that thread. In the alternative, being able to have the posts displayed in reverse order (newest first) would avoid having to scroll down through a lengthly thread you had visited within the past day or so.
I LOVE the GT Forum. That is one of the biggies keeps me coming back day after day. 2003 Almond GT AutoStick, body colored rear splash guards and hood struts, chrome gear shift, AC, and vent knobs. |

Jody,
I not a computer nut but I do like the option that Michaelday mention. That's a big plus. 2003 Electric Blue GT |

This is possibly already here and I'm not sure how to access it-
As there is a turn-over in readers here, new questions are old questions. Is there a way to automatically cross-reference new "old" questions with the old answers/threads? and... THANK YOU for this forum. My way of saying it's the best is to say, "It's the only one I read with consistency and ever logged on to." |

I like it just the way it is, but all the changes mentioned above sound good too.

1. I'd like to see more sub categories. Example: How many times has someone asked about lowering springs in various areas?
2. Create a link to the admin to report broken links. 3. I'd like to be able to subscribe to any thread. 4. Add server space for jpegs thereby simplifying the picture posting processs. I realize this might get out of hand as I've seen on other sites. Maybe someone else can expand on this(?) 5. Allow a text-only view of threads for those of us who still have dial-up or due to extremes of #4 above. 6. There seems to be a lot of subject-crossing of the GT & regular PT. What happens when future models arrive? Again, as stated in #1 above, it would be good to subcategorize pertinent items. Example: 5-speeds are different on PT & GT models. Getrag questions are unique. (I guess it's really up to the member to efficiently direct their thread.) 7. Pushing my luck here, are you looking at different forum software altogether? Although I haven't done any research on the subject, I like the Explorer-like folders which allow a more targeted reply-within-a-reply such as http://www.vtec.net/forums/ Well time to go. Gotta eat.. |
