any one with neon...

any one out there with any kind of neon light on your PT have trubble with the cop's? my friend got his neon toe'd from his lite'd washer's.<img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle> im thinking about getting a under car kit with a little more lights, maybe in grill and rear bumper, but id like to keep from getting tickets. are there safe colors to run?<img src=icon_smile_shy.gif border=0 align=middle>

As far as I know, there are no "safe" colors (other than white) for external lights. It all depends on where you are and what the local laws say. If you want lights for show, put them on a seperate switch and be very careful when and where you run them.

The law is mostly sensitive about any light facing forward and license plate lights. Here in Dallas, forward facing lights can't be red, amber, or blue. State code only requires the license plate be visible (lit) for X number of feet.
