Euro Light Condensation

I have euro lights on the back of my PT. After i washed my car today, i noticed that there was a small crack in the side of my lights and condensation in them. Does anyone know any tricks to get the condensation out? And what to seal the crack with?

Your new to this forum and I take it you haven't heard of the fiasco that a lot of us went thru with the APC Euro lights. When the PT first came out, APC did a hurry-up job of making aftermarket chrome/carbon fiber lights for the cruiser market. Almost everyone (including me) and the moderator of this forum - Jody, had loads of problems with the lights from scratches on the "inside" of the lenses to actual melting red lenses. They also didn't fit properly in the recess for the taillights. Again, most of us sent the lights back and APC came out with a "2nd Generation" light. These "new" lights had more holes in the back to let heat escape and supposedly they were sealed better plus they sent along with the "new" lights different kind of bulbs, LED's I believe the name of the bulbs were. They were supposed to put out brighter light and not give off heat but a lot of us found out that they weren't very bright as compared to the OEM bulbs. Meanwhile APC came out with more lights with a different shape and supposedly these were not prone to the first light problems. I've still heard of the condensation problem that you have when washing the car. It goes away after awhile so the owners put up with it. I've switched back to the original bulbs and I'm keeping an eye out for melting problems. APC got a pretty bad rep out of this whole deal and many people won't go near their stuff now.

The only trick is to not buy them.

It doesn't matter who you buy them from, they will eventually fog and haze and crack and scratch. Ask about a warranty first, if you must buy them.

And don't let anyone tell you that different bulbs will solve the problems...these lights had the LED bulbs in them since day one-->

WOW! good thing I read this!
Back to the top though, I had water fog in my motorcycle head light and what I did was take the light off, take out the bulbs and lay it in the sun with the bulb holes up for about 10 mins. That let all the moisture out. Never had the problem again.
Remember the mid '80's Ford Escort and Tempos had that problem? My had almost 2 inches of water in his head light before it would pop the bulb. lol
