Default What Color is Your Dash?

I have a stone white 2001 Limited with silver dash panels. Some people think that all PT's have dashes the same color as the car. Then shouldn't mine be painted stone white?[:I]

I think the dash and airbag cover above glove box were first color matched to exterior paint in the 2002 year model production.

I don't know about all the 2003 models, but the GT has a carbon-fiber look-alike cluster cover and airbag cover.

Not sure about the 03's or dream cruisers, but the White, Black and Silver PT's all have the "silver/pewter" dash panels. I believe all the others have panels color matches to the outside of the car. It's not really silver either because it certainly doesn't match the outside of my silver PT.

I also don't believe the dash on the 2001 models matched the exterior paint colors except for the Dream Cruiser 1.

I put some color on my shadow-dot silver/grey stock 2003 GT dash by adding hand-painted pin-striping and outline-flames....... IMHO it gave the car's interior front-end "more life" and enhanced the car's retro-modern styling.[|)] [8D]

2001 White, Black, Taupe and Silver PT's all have the "silver/pewter" panels. All others have panels matching the exterior.

2002 White, Black, Taupe and Silver PT's all have the "silver/pewter" panels. All others have panels matching the exterior.

2003 White, Black, Taupe and Silver PT's all have the "silver/pewter" panels. All others have panels matching the exterior, except GT Turbo with honeycomb pattern.

Whatever they call the panels in my GT, I don't like them. I'd prefer slate grey like the seats.

I think DC's official name is "Shadow Dot". I'm not crazy about ti either and will replace sometime down the road.

Dear gsxrtims:

My '03 Dream Cruiser has tangerine dash panels. I only wish the steering wheel had some color too!

My dealer told me they can order any color dash parts so you can replace the "honeycomb" with panels that match your exterior. I had thought about getting cranberry ones, but decided to stick with the "honeycomb" for now.
