I have a 2003 PT Turbo and when I drive at 65mph or higher and want quick acceleration the engine starts to stutter. I have tried using 94 Octane but the problem still persists. Has anyone encounted this problem. The dealer has no answers.

Regapping the Spark plugs to 0.40 cured that symptom for me. The spec from trhe factory is .050. Regapped my plugs to 0.40 and it goes all the way to red line without the least hint of a studder.

I had a stutter @ around 60 that turned out to be a misfire of the #3 cylinder.
Dealer replaced spark plug and wire, no more stutter. If not, regap. My $.02. |
