2,289 miles later...

We got back from our first big road-trip late Monday, and our dear Prudence did fantastic....the gas mileage ranged from about 21 to a high of 26.85 mpg! Sure was glad to see something over 20! As for driving, the car pretty much drove itself....on the interstate with the cruise control on 65, my only complaint were the idiots cramming their noses up our butt before they sped around us at 85-90....oh, yeah, and having to sit at a dead stand-still on I-35 in Oklahoma for over an hour while they cleared away the mess of a 5-car wreck which (after we finally got the 15 miles up to the wreck scene) included one of the afore-mentioned idiots...they had passed us at about 90 about a half-hour before, and their car looked as though it had been put through the crusher at the junkyard....nobody got outa that car.

But as for Prudence, we have no **real** complaints....she's not a "rain virgin" anymore....we had to drive her in the rain in Iowa....be even so, she was ALWAYS the prettiest car in the lot, no matter where we stopped!

Today she gets her first real "bath"...
