Have been using the duster for over 10 years on two very fine finished classic show cars.
Never had a problem with it leaving the finish with any sign of a mark.
Read the instructions and follow them.
Relax it has been around a long time and has been well received by the pro,s
Enjoy [8]

Up at CFT3, Chrysler pulled out the shows cars and set them up under a tent. They are really picky about their show cars and even jacked them up on each corner to rotate the wheels so all the valve stems would be at the bottom. I watched one of the guys take a California Duster out of the sleeve and go over each car. If these guys can use it, I'm sure not about to be afraid too.

Shot from CFT3..this is the one with the Viper V10 engine...

I too have been using the duster for a very long time. I used it on my "Black" 67 RS/SS Camaro and never a scratch. The trick is a very light touch! Use the Quick detailer for everything else. I'll usually start with the duster then go over again with the detailer. I use a micro fiber towel inside in a addtion to the small interior duster. Have fun!

Greetings, I contacted my peers in the industry to get other feedback on this topic. This product is widely used but their are a few precautions to follow, this is what they are>
1. it is not a mop, don't apply pressure, use for light dust NOT dirt.
2. Only allow half the length of the stranes to come in contact with the surface, always wipe in one direction.
3. Tap your hands on the duster after every panel to get rid of potential scatchers.
4. Do notuse on lower panels as that area accumulates heavy dirt.
5. only use as needed, if you can't see dust why risk it.
remember that No lubrication + Debris = scratches if you don't follow the above.

Excellent pointers all. I love the Duster for what it's good at doing, which is strictly dust removal. I only use it when Prudence is still very clean...only on the top and hood and rear door, holding it so that it BARELY touches the surface as I swipe. Only use it to get the daily white powdery dust that our "caleche" (sp?) driveway deposits on the car. This is a very fine white dust that clings to the car just out of static electricity, and for something like that the Duster works great. It does cut down on how often we have to wash the car to keep it looking good, which is a big plus. But definitely would not use it on dried-on dirt after a rain. Only other caution I'd give is that when you live in an extremely hot place, like TX, only use it in the morning or late evening and only use it after the car has cooled down, or you WILL get parafin on the car!

I've been using a duster for a couple of years no problems yet. I think i'll keep it around awhile, works great![?]
