Well, at least you have an option of going to the dealer to see if they'll pay. I had the frustrating experience this morning of getting hit by a loose lug nut from another vehicle, smashing the bottom left corner of my new (2 month old) GT's windshield. I'll be having it replaced with Mopar parts by a local autoglass guy who will get the money (sans my deductible) from the insurance company. I saw the lugnut bouncing down the road RIGHT AT ME but with traffic I couldn't swerve out of the way. I just ducked (it was a big nut, maybe a truck nut). Luckily it didn't go all the way thru the windshield, just bounced off and left an approximately 7 inch diameter starbursty pattern with a big chip in the middle. Also luckily, no apparent body damage.
