sorry, i'm gonna hate on this mod... there is one thing that i can't stand, it's FAKE mods. If it was functional, now that would be worth all the hype. Because as soon as someone walks behind your car and seesyour real exhaust, you'll feel kinda stupid that you stuck 2 paper thin cup holders to the side of your car... don't mean to offend if i did

"Fake" mods> I guess to a point your right, however how about those fake side pipes, at some point its all about cosmetics/ hey its just for show and fun anyway.

it's a great show piece Gary!! I have a vendeta against the fake side pipes too, don't worry. Original style cosmetics are what seperate your cruiser from the pack at a show. It's just not for me. By the way sorry about the snappy reply, it was pretty damn late...

Hey Turboman, I think they're kinda neat[|)]. I'm a sucker for "fake" mods, I had chrome wheel covers on for almost a year, and I like the look/economy of fake side pipes, although if I DID have the money I would spring for a set! But $25 bucks?! How do I get a set or two for myself?[?]

Oh yeah, I got your E-mail, I'll send you a reply

While on my Cruiser it would be redundant to add another set of pipes, it looks good on your ride. As for fake pipes, during the '50s & '60s it was very common practice to have nonfunctional lake pipes on street rods (not dragsters). Yes, some were hooked to the headers through selinoid switches, but most weren't. On most street rods they were just there for looks.[8D]

Hey Turbomangt,

It's not my cup of tea either but it is a mod that you like and others like! That's what its all about. With any mod, you get the lovers and the haters, that is what modding is about. If we all liked the same thing we would all look alike. Now that would be bad.[:0]

Howdy y'all! I gotta say "thanks" to Turboman. I got my mod in the mail today, tried two sets on the hood of my car. I swear I can hear out of the corners of my mouth I was smiling so big. Yeah, I know some folks out there are saying "YOU DID NOT.....!!!!!" Call me what you will, but it I really dig the way they look, especially on the hood. I gotta get a digital cam so I can post some pics, hope I don't piss anyone else off!?[xx(] You can all stone me later...just don't scratch my car.

I gotta see if I can mod the mod with some stronger magnets though...

Hey. mine are functional, it was hard drilling those 3" holes in the side of my car [}][:0] even harder bending my exhaust ports over to the port holes.
