Default Sqeaky Seats, Anybody?

My drivers seat has an annoying squeak - been there for awhile but I'm going to finally do something about it next weekend. Anyone else have this problem? I don't really want to take it to the dealer and screw up a work day over this...

i have the same prob with my driver seat. I had the dealership look at it. They said they "reworked the frame" whatever that means. Anyways it stopped for about two days and came back, so i will be having them look at it again

tezz,

If your squeaky seat occurs when you move in the seat, I had the same problem. The squeak was completely eliminated when I took out my seat in order to mount my XM radio tuner pack underneath the seat. When I re-installed the seat, I noticed the squeak was gone. I wondered if the seat frame was rubbing against the metal locator pin on the floor that the seat frame rests over.

Glad to see this post. I just started hearing an annoying "rattle" coming from the back. I discovered it was the seat belt assembly "inside" the seat. How do you think I can get at that? I don't see anything that enables you to get inside the seat? ideas? Gary[:I]

At least I'm not alone in this - mine is most noticible when going over bumps, perhaps more so since I installed the Eibachs. I know the back seats are 'easy' to remove - any tricks to the driver's seat?

Removing rear seats is one thing, getting "inside" them is another. I know with the vibration I get (turbo/ exhaust) it may loosen every nut and bolt over time. Front seats you should just take to an interior shop and see what they say, or the dealer. (I know thats a bad word) Gary

Mine was more of a 'click' sound than a squeak, it started when I removed the seat to put my cd changer in. Went back after a couple of weeks and gave the seat hold down bolts an extra turn with the socket and ratchet.

Rattles, squeaks and groans? It is getting close to Halloween.

I noticed the noise goes away when it says "Max Volume"....
