Default Front end vibration

I have a 2001 Limited Edition and have been having issues with a shimmy or wobble in the front. This happens primarily at low speed, while accelerating and when turning corners. The dealers answer has been "bad tires". I replaced all four tires at 18k miles and the problem is still with me. The dealer is now saying its incorrect tire pressure "too low". I've seen other similar problems listed on other forums, but with no real solutions. Has anyone encountered this? and if so how was it resolved?
The problem is more than likely still with me at higher speeds, but is less noticeable, due more than likely to the higher speed of the vehicle.

Get the rims checked for trueness. All 4 rims on my first cruiser were slightly wobbly. Sometimes you can have the tire rotated around the rim to reduce the problem. It is minor, but still a pain when the steering wheel wobbles back and forth doing about 20-25 mph.

I had the exact same problem. Everything I read on the subject points to either the tires or the rims or both. I bought my car used (25,000 miles) and since I was planning on putting new tires and rims on I just lived with it for a couple of weeks. Once I put the new tires and rims on I no longer had the problem.

I would say it might be the tires Some times the steel belts in the tires break loose and you get a shimmy at low speeds. I have this happen twice in my company van. try to swicth tires front to back. I would do this 1 side at a time. If it is a bad tire it will show up right away...................Bill ( Just my 2 cents)

Try removing the round clip inserted on one of the bolts. The clip was intended to keep the brake rotor from moving during assembly in the factory but is not needed when the wheel is mounted. Removing this clip will solve your wheel wobble.

Is it just a problem with the clip on all model year or just '01's?

All model years because they all have clips.

Factory wheels have a space for the clips. It becomes more noticeable with some aftermarket wheels.

Clips were removed on mine and I still had the problem until I replaced my tires and wheels.
