Default antifreeze smell?????????

i have a 2002 cruiser with 23k and within the last 2 days i have started to get a antifreeze smell.....no visible leaks anyone with a similar problem before i take it back to the dealership i would like a little ammo.........thanks[xx(]

Haven't had that problem, just be sure your fluid level stays up until you take it to the dealer.

its not wet around your passenger floor is it?? i was thinking mabye the heater core??

When you take it in, have them check ALL clamps.[xx(] I had a Dakota that had a clamp loose, I was able to see it on the carport/garage floor.

Some have lost their heater cores. It causes antifreeze to leak into the passenger side. If that is what happened, insist on new carpeting. You will never be able to get the smell out otherwise. I do know of one other PT Cruiser owner who was successful at getting his carpet replaced under warranty. He had to go to the Regional Rep. to get it done.
