I have a '93 Mazda RX-7, mod'd from its stock 255 hp to about 380 hp. I have all kinds of engine mods (nothing internal, all bolt-ons to include an aftermarket ECU), and USAA has covered fully the two accidents I have had since Aug '92 when I bought it.

My PT is only lightly mod'd, so don't expect any issues if I were to have an accident with it.

Like PTucker, I am with USAA, too. In Southern California, they cannot be beat price-wise for the coverage. I feel very fortunate to have their coverage and would advise anyone eligible to check them out.

I had an accident two years ago yesterday and they took care of everything. My rates increased, but that's because the accident was my fault. Even with a higher premium, they still beat their nearest competitor in this area by $600/year.[?]

I didn't know about USAA not covering suspension modifications... I wonder now if I'll need to verify that I can get the car lowered (1.6 and 2.0 to front/rear respectively) w/out getting dropped.
