Need help with part identification
Hi,
The center knob on my passenger side air vent is missing. The stem is still there but the actual knob is not (it hasn't been there since I bought the car.) I haven't been successful in my searches and I'm guessing it's Operator Error; I don't know what the heck the "real" name for the piece is. I asked my service rep at the dealership and she looked at me like I had two heads. I'd like to think "center air vent knob" would be enough to yield results. Apparently no. If someone could clue me with the correct terminology (or even part number) I'd appreciate it greatly. thanks, ~christy.     |

Isn't that knob and grill all one piece? You might have to order the whole air vent grill.

Maybe billet knob replacements? Might be cheaper than dealer part.[:I]

I just made new walnut knobs for mine and was wondering what to do with the old ones. Is yours a GT?

Snittykitty, You dont say what year your PT is. If its a 2002 or earlier, Taupe interior, the part name is: Knob, A/C Control, Outlet Joystick P/N SQ76WL8AA. I only have the parts CD for the 2002 but if yours is a 2003 or 2004 with the Slate interior, the part name should be the same just a different P/N for the Slate color. Have them look under Group 08A Instrument Panel and Radios and Consoles in their parts lists. Good luck
