Default Cabin airfiltration system

[8D] I installed a filter system today it took maybe 1/2 an hour. all parts we purchased at Loews. removed 4 screws from the cowl over the windshield washer reservoir. Didn't remove reservoir. I purchased 2 pack of web wick filters (cut to fit). 2 pack eureka HF6 hepa filters and 12 pack of vent filters(electrostatic register filters)sandwiched all in order explained, 2 small pieces of duct tape to keep everything together. Was thin enough to ease into the filter cowl reinstalled the grate cover By using the vent filters to the outside or last in the series this can be change before the more expensive heppa filters. The wick filters are more for stability.
There was no flow restriction at all I checked
Good luck guys[?]

You should submit pics and your guide to add to the interior ventilation guide already online:

I used the B&S filter from Home Depot, took about a 1/2 hour. After reading the input from all, I decided I could do that. Had no problems that wasn't covered in PTDIY!!!

IRPT: $11.00 for B&S Filter 5063, I bought 2 as I have seen that they are being replaced by 5069 which restricts airflow.

Hooligan, do you have any pics of the filter installed? If so please post. $11.00 not bad, the DC filter is only $14.00.

Yea, After I put in the 5069 the AC was wheezing (gasping for air). I replaced it with the 5063 and it's only slightly noiser then without the filter and very little airflow restriction. I got mine for $11 also at home depot.

I just called a Chrysler dealer here in Canada, they quoted me $63.00 and said there are none available in Canada, on back order!!

Am I living in rip-off town or what?
