" Yes I have signed the normal documents and..."

Exactly what documents did you sign?

You may have screwed yourself, Bro.

This dealer, is it a used or new car dealer?

It sounds more like a Mitsubishi dealer rather then Chrysler.

I had near the same thing happen when trying to buy an Mitsubishi (Mightsuebitchi) Outlander. I test drove it (with no salesperson) even took it home to see how it fit in the gee-rage. Went back to the dealer and started to work the papers. The manager and the salesperson said I could get it for around 19. When I got to the finance managers office it was about 21 before finances. I told him I could get a better deal through my bank and would get back in two days.

When I went back they, so-called, soled the vehicle to a women who, fell-in-love, with it. That was funny, because it had a bad balance problem and pulled to the right, harsch.

The next one there, same everything, was priced at 24k from manuacturer, then after finance was around 26k.

When I found out that some how they got my check in the mail for 20k and had already started to use it, I about commited suicide. The dumbass at the bank sent them the check in the mail instead of me. The dealer took it and put it in there bank. Long story short the money got returned. I will never buy a Mitsubishi.

They even tried to photocopy my signature for the test drive on the the contrat for the vehicle. So they could keep the money. Imagine that paying 5 years for 20k on a vehilce I don't even own.

I still think the best thing to do is to talk to a lawyer.

Forget sheisters, you can DIY. Contact the Department of Conumer Affairs: http://www.dca.ca.gov/

- For future reference: you have three business days to reneg on any contract. That is a federal law. No exceptions. (It should even say that on the contract itself.) "If I sign this contract and back out tomorrow, will that get you off of my back sooner?" works on pushy salesman who do not understand "no". Personally, I like smacking them in the nose with a magazine (thicker than a newspaper), "NO!"
No, a contract is a contract. There is a 3 day rescission period on a mortgage refinance by federal law, but even then only in the case of a 1-4 unit primary residence. Investment properties and commercial (over 4 units) do not fall under these HUD guidelines. To my knowledge, not other contracts receive this protection under law. If you want a rescission period, draw it into the contract. People would be rescinding contracts all the time. Buyer's remorse is a fact of life. When a buyer signs contracts, the time for introspection is over. Do your due diligence prior to contract.

Attention: [Obtain Name of General Manager]

Q. When I negotiated the deal on my new vehicle, I told the salesman I would get my own financing, however, I have been unable to do so and now the dealer says that I must allow them to try. Is this true?
A. Civil Code Section 2982.9 provides that the contract is rescinded when a consumer has expressly notified the sales person of their intention to arrange for their own financing and has been unable to do so. However, most dealers insist in writing that they be allowed to procure financing if you are unable.

Motor Vehicle Sales and Finance Act

2982.9. In the event a buyer obligates himself to purchase, or receive possession of, a motor vehicle pursuant to a contract or purchase order, and the seller knows that the buyer intends to obtain financing from a third party without the assistance of the seller, and the buyer is unable to obtain such financing, the contract or purchase order shall be deemed rescinded and all consideration thereupon shall be returned by the respective parties without demand.
