Default Picture Gallery
I'm in favor of adding a gallery section. most people are adding pictures anyway. How can we get this started so that we can upload directly to this site?

Kevinl1058, the pictures that are being viewed are not hosted on this sites server, each individual is responsible for finding a server to host their pictures. Uploading pictures to this site would require extra server space, which usually results in more cost. I'm all for it, if it can be done. Jody?

That's for sure! IMHO there are a good number of viable options for storing pics that are satisfactory--some at no cost as mentioned in the FAQs. More forum members are positng pictures now than a few months ago. However, it seems to me the majority don't have much [u]real interest</u>. To pay the costs of offering such a feature the forum would need to obtain much more paid advertising and/or go to subscription memberships. From comments I have read on this forum I get the impression that the latter option would go over like a "lead balloon"!

I like it the way it is. There are plenty of free options for getting your pictures hosted so that you may link to them. Most ISP provide you with 5 or more megs for a home page site, you should be able to use that to host your photos. There's cardomain.com, imagestation.com and several others.

This is a great forum and it's FREE! Let's keep it that way. If you absolutely can not find any way to host your photos let me know and I'll help you out.

hehe, Jody. Aw heck, I just remembered I owe you an e-mail.

I would think that bandwidth, rather than space, would be the cost consideration.

A gallery would be convenient, but there are alternatives. This site has a good formula (cost, content, layout, choo guys) that makes it the best bar none.
