Habee2, welcome to the forum. I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with the OEM tail light lens melting. I know there were some problems with the APC Gen 1 tail lights melting. How about posting a pic so we can see what you are talking about.

Agree with IRPT 100%. Did you buy the car used? Previous owner may have put on aftermarket taillights or swapped bulbs. No reported troubles with stock taillights.

Habee2 welcome,
I agree with Quick and IRPT.

The after market one have been reported to melt.

What do these look like?
Stock tails are red and orange, aftermakets have a clear lens over the inside components.

Maybe you have stumbbled across a new *unique* problem if these are OEM tails.

It depends, if you bought the "California Edition", it comes with the APC rear tail lights installed and should be covered under warranty. APC is notorious for melting and fogging problems on any of their tail lights for any make or model. But you should have also received the OEM tail lights. Haven't heard of any complaints about the OEM tail lights.
