Having had both, Neon and PT - tho neither was turbo, I can comment on both. The Neon is more tossable and will easily outhandle and out run a PT, but the PT is far more comfortable and is and feels more solid. I drive a lot - 100+ miles a day, and I'm more rested after driving the PT. Depends what you want and your mix of driving.

Yeah, I do not know why a PT owner would even look at a neon. I do not know what the fuss is about, they do nothing for me.

Try a PT Turbo. If you can, ride in one that has been tweaked. True, the PT has some handling disadvantages as compared to smaller cars, but that can be tweaked and improved. The PT's style alone is worth a little compromise in the performance department.

Why do you want an SRT-4? What does your PT lack? Make lists for both of these and contemplate them to be sure of what you really want. Also, what anyone else wants or likes is irrelevant, buy your car for you, not anyone else.

Make sure you compare insurance costs for both also (Cruiser verses SRT4). I've heard rumor that the SRT4 costs more than the cruiser since its considered a performance car...how much more I'm really not sure.
