Megaflow exhaust on turbo

I have a friend that has limited turbo and He
wants to put a megaflow exhaust on it. when
I looked it up at moss it said not for turbo.
Can anybody tell me why it wouldn't work
on a turbo?

it will work on the turbo, but it's proably smaller or the same then stock.

Probably is too restrictive for a turbo. That's why the factory muffler on a turbo is different than a non turbo PT. Tell your friend not to do it. Might even cost him some horsepower.

It worked for me on my 2003 GT Turbo--2 1/4 inch pipe size--same as stock. Your friend should consider the Magnaflow Performance Exhaust System speciafically designed for the PT Cruiser--it has both a straight-through polished SS muffler as well as a resonator (to keep down noise inside the cabin): http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/c...s/chrysler.htm





The reason I installed the BTG axle-back exhaust on my 2004 GT is because it was a better buy for the money and gave me the same level of performance as the Magnaflow.

I went to the PT club store and they carry megaflow
the same number as at the web sight Gary04GT gave me only
for 100 dollars less and free shipping.I'll tell him
about BTG ,but I think he likes the looks of that
big chrome muffler .I hope he picks something
else ,I like being the only one I town with one.

I agree that "the looks of that big chrome muffler" on the Magnaflow is very sharp in appearance. IMHO, both Magnaflow and BTG are good exhaust systems--think your friend would be happy with either one. Good luck.
