Anybody else have problems seeing the speedometer numbers at just about dusk with the headlights on?

Sure do. If the gauges were white with black numbers that reversed it wouldn't be a problem. The light gray faces with medium gray numbers are almost invisible at dusk with or without the light on.

Put your dash light switch in Funeral Mode and it will make it easier to see the gauges.

Funeral Mode???
'Funeral Mode', actually it's called Parade Mode but some people call it funeral mode - Page 76 in the 2002 Owner's Manual.

From the Owner's Manual:

Parade Mode (Daytime Brightness Feature)
Rotate the dimmer control to the first detent (white semi-circle). This feature brightens the odometer and radio display when the parking lights or headlights are on during daylight conditions.
