Default How was your commute?

Hit a pothole on the way to work this morning - got a blowout. Pulled over, put the @%$#* dixie-cup spare on, looked at the wheel - the wheel is actually split! 05:30 in the morning, changing a flat - fun way to start the day. I have the painted alloy wheels. At least the tire is covered by road hazard warranty.
The pothole had water in it, no warning. At least it was above freezing (by a few degreees) and it wasn't snowing.[xx(]

Sorry to hear of your bad luck. Those potholes are bad enough when you can see them let alone when they are hidden by water. Good luck getting your car back into new condition.

Man, that s*cks. Sorry to hear about your bad luck, not a good way to start the day off. Like you said though, tire is covered by warranty and it wasn't snowing.

I hear that Don. I am constantly dodging and weaving potholes, but when you're in traffic you just have to grit your teeth as you go over them and hope that damage is kept to a minimum. On the morning drive in the dark its like Russion Roulette on wheels whether you see them in time.

Last year one of our club members hit a pothole on I-95 when they were on their way to a club cruise and blew out two tires. [xx(]

Winter sucks.

hehe, Jack.

It sounds like your DOT is slacking if they are that bad. I hope you had your coffee before that happened, or that would have REALLY sucked.

Did you consider making a claim on your insurance under comprehensive? We took a rock in the air conditioner and our insurance payed for it. It would've cost us over $700.00, but all we ended up paying was the $100.oo deductable. Check it out with your insurance company, you never know.

Oh yea don't forget where that hole is, it would
suck to hit it again. Good luck! Don't you just hate
those little spares?
