When I first saw the PT in car magazines - I said, "that's cool". I drooled each time I saw one. Still had a daughter in college, so I had to wait a year before I could "swing" mine. Now, 71,000 miles later, still love it!
I want a 180 HP turbo....

Bigdogdad, really can fit his "huge" dogs back there.

I was on the mailing list when the PT was in its promotional stage. Got the detail books, the info. packets, and everything else.

Like some, I too did not want to look at one at first, because of all the retired elderly folks that have the classic editions. I shopped aleast 10 different cars before deciedeing to go to a Chrysler dealer. I wanted a car that no other person my age had or wasn't that popular with a good price.

Needless to say once my mom and I had gotten to the dealer and gotten in a PT, we decieded that if she could fit in the back, so could my 78 year old grandmother.

The selling point wasn't alone with the roomy inside, but after taking a trip to my bank and finding out that they work directly with Chrysler and I could get on at cost and save alot of money. We rode around the lot and too my suprise, the PT has a chrome package, and color keyed bumpers, which I had never seen on the street before.

Sadly after signing the papers and finally living the lot after 3-5 hours later, I passed a PT the same color Steel Blue/with the Pearl coat with the chrome package, identical to mine. I thought it was on of a kind .

Well for me its one of a kind now. I have aftermarket parts that I have not yet seen on anyother PT's [?].

Plus I have the cruiser life style that I never knew about till now.

Thanks to all of you I spend more money on my car then me, just kidding. I love the PT and all of the people you meet through owning one.

The wife and I were on vacation up in Acadia National Park in 01 and we kept on seeing these three PTs on the island. After awhile the wife said that we should check them out more when we get home. When we did, we rode by the Chrysler deeler in town and by luck a new inferno red one had "just" came off the truck. We took it for a ride and it came home with us the next day. Then at almost two years to the day we traded in the 01 and got ourselfs the 03 Electric blue GT.
After having 2 Z-28s a Vet,a SHO two SS Impalas and some others, this PT & GT by far is the best and most fun car I`ve ever had. If twenty years ago someone had told me that I would have a car with a 4 banger with an auto and I would just love it I would have thought he/she was nuts. Boy was I wrong.[8)]

My wife has always wanted one since they first came out. When I decided to trade in my '00 Dakota, there was no doubt what we were ging to "LOOK" at. Made the deal on a '02 last September and have never looked back. She has her T&C which we both like also, but the PT is what we drive the most. We laso joined a PT Cruiser Club which we had never heard of before. All kinds of new experiences now!!!![^]

I liked the PT the first time I seen one.[?] It was in a walmart parking lot.I went over and drowled all over it.I had just bought
a suv.I never test drove one,brecause I knew I would want it.
Than I told my wife ,if they come out with a yellow one ,it's
mine.Never got my yellow one,but a blue and a white one will do
just fine. [^]I'm still waiting for a yellow one, maybe next year.

I loved them at first sight, long before those folks down in Mexico were training to build them....ordered my first one without even seeing one in person. Bought the second one for wife 4 months later. Now both are three years old ..... and we still love them.

First saw it in Moter Trend in 1999. It was in the future section. I showed the pic to my wife and she loved it. Started doing research online and saw that there was one on tour around the country. We went to the show at the Texas State Fair and got to see it in person for the first time, from 6-8 feet away. They had it all roped off. As others have said it was surprisingly small.

In March of 2000, I was talking cars with a friend and mentioned we were gonna go look at one when the dealer finally got one, we were 22nd on the waiting list. She tells me a friend of hers just got a call to come look at one. We called the dealer immediatly and he tells me they just got their second one in, that day, and we could come for a test drive.

We went down there that afternoon. They had already put nearly 100 miles on it in test drives that day and there was a line behind us to drive it, but when we got done, only 1 more test drive took place and that was only becase they had to verify my credit before they could put the sold sign on it. They wouldn't even let people touch it, literally, after we started our paperwork.

For months we got stopped on the streets, restaurants, car washes, gas stations....
Had to clean the windows every night cause there were always hand prints on it when my wife came out of the office. It's too bad that the general publics excitement has passed.
It was a lot of fun back then.

I have only met 1 person with one older than mine.

Now, just gotta keep customizing. [8D] [8D]

The first time I saw a PT, I said,"Now, there'a Bettie Car if I ever saw one - but of course, I'd have to get one in RED! 2 years later I was hit from behind in my old car, so I replaced it with an '01 Ltd.Edition Inferno Red PT (moon roof/cd/ cassette/leather & suede/real chrome wheels).
Since getting "Carlotta," I've put on an aoogah horn, jeweled door knobs/air vents and tail light rockets. Next are eyelids, chrome pillars, trim and chrome musical notes. I'm saving for white walls, baby moons with the beauty ring painted red, and skirts!I'm also looking for a Music/Treble Clef hood ornament. Anyone know where I could get one custom-made? She's a work of art that grows more beautiful as time goes by!

I loved the PT at first sight! My neighbor was one of the first (around here) to order one BEFORE they were built; back when they were going for alot more than sticker price. When his finally came in the dealer offered him his deposit back and a $3,000 bonus to cancel his order (he didn't). Ever since then I wanted one. When it finally came time to car-shop (03) it was a foregone conclusion what I would end up with. THEN I found the PT websites and found out about the accessorizing...and so it (my money) goes. I LOVE MY PT![8D]
