What is the required fuel for the 180hp Turbo? Premium?

Welcome to the forum RM,
That sounds like a question that can be answered by looking in your new car manual. Im supposing its new.

I would imagine it would be premium. I own a N/A 03 and ours is regular 87 octane. I believe the turbo or GT has to use premium.

Believe it or not it takes regular. I am sure it is in the manual but this has come up is discussion before. It is one of those good things, more power but doesn't reguier premium.

I thought someone with a 180hp Turbo could let me know about the required fuel. I'm shopping right now, mostly through web sites, and they only talk about the 150hp (regular gas) and 220hp Turbo (premium gas). Thanks for the info so far but I think I'm looking for a quote from a manual.

Correct. It's essentially the same engine as the GT, but programmed to run on regular gas. It's a great idea, in my book.

From page 214 of my '04 Owners Manual:

2.4L Standard Engine and 2.4L Standard Turbo Engine - 87 Octane
2.4L High Output Turbo Engine - 91 Octane

I run on 87 with my 180HP version, but I suspect that will have to change once Stage 1 is installed in the next week or so.

OK, thanks a lot to all who answered. Regular gas for the 180 Turbo. Sounds good to me.
