I have one of these insert covers for my third brake light. it seems that it keeps slidding down, the plastic molded piece does not sit tight and secure up against the insert. any ideas how to remedy this ? Thanks Gary

Gary, I haven't installed one of these so I'm not sure exactly how it mounts. Would it be possible to get some of the 1/2" velcro strips with adhesive backing, cut a small piece and attach it to the bottom of the insert and to the hatch lid (or window) to hold it in place. Then when you want to remove it simple pull the velcro apart and remove.

Black elect tape, works well.

Gary,
If it's not the Prest-o-change one that you can change rapidly, then I used black electrical tape on all 4 sides to secure it to the back window directly in front of the 3bl itself. On the rear window itself is a clear spot that lets the 3bl light show thru, but all around it is the dark tint so you can't really see the tape that holds the cover. Hope I explained that so you know what I mean.

I have the 3rd brake light (Presto changeo) and it was also sliding down. Just last weekend I got some 2 sided tape, cut two thin strips and attached it where the sticky was (that wasn't holding it up)and it is no longer sliding down.

Gary;
Check out the ones at 'www.gotmypt.com'. I have three different ones and no problems. They have little bumpers on them that hold them place real well. By the way just slide in and out, easy!

Gary, also have the gotmypt masks. Have 5 in all, my favorite is the one I have on there now, "Simply Red". My nickname for my car. Mine also has the little rubber stoppers, and it doesn't move at all. But if it did I don't know if I'd use tape. It's easy enough to just give it a little nudge and push it back were it should be. Living in the desert as I do, the summer heat here would make a mess of any tape on the window. But, maybe not for you, don't know. Hope you find a good fix.
