It's like golf, money is no object whether you have it or not. I am cutting way back on former passion (golf) so I can spend the bucks on my Cruiser.

I think I really need help. I'm thinking of pawning my wife's diamond ring or maybe selling one of the grandkids, or a second mortgage, robbing a bank. Now I know I need help, I've got MODITUS. Is there a doctor in the house?

[8D]NEVER! Rolling changes are what makes modding so great! Also, since MOST of us have to save up $$ to get the mods we want - the anticipation (and list-making) are half the fun. MY budget is tiny; my list is LONG; my pride is in keeping my PT looking like new.Of course, if I won the lottery...

It's a never ending process. When I got my Harley I rebuilt it from the ground up, I got everything I wanted on it. About 3 months later I decided to redo it, new tank, seats, forks, handle bars, paint job, etc., etc. I would like to mod it again but now I have my Cruiser and I'm concentrating on it.

Once you think you've finished, you just start over again.

I had done a pretty fair amount of modding before even making my first car payment, including my cat/back duals, strut brace, and a bunch of smaller bits and pieces. My wife tells people I'm obsessed, but she doesn't really complain about it. Just as mcruz is cutting back on his golfing expenditures, I no longer race bicycles, so I'm no longer buying $3000 Italian bikes and all the upkeep that goes with them when you train 300 miles a week. Anybody want to buy a track bike built specifically for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics???? I've got a few more mods I want for the PT!

I've been very lucky with my pt in mods vs money. I won so many shows in 2003, that I was approached by several sponsors for 2004 season. It took a lot of hard work to get where I'm at today, but I just didn't have that kind of money to spend on my car. But either way, customing out your PT is a lot of fun. Most fun I have ever had with a car..........just my 2-cents[8)][8D]

Well, I'm done!!! That is until I decide to do the next mod. Actually, for now, I'm finished with the exterior. Now, my wife and I need to look at interior work. We've done some interior work, but not all that we'd like to do. We're still thinking that we may "start over" at some point and make our ride into a panel. That's a long way off right now.[|)]
