Default hood liner removal

After carefully reading the instructions listed on PT DIY, I tried removing the liner. I must not be doing something right, because the retainer clips did not "just pop out". I couldnt even get the first one out. It was hard for me to tell where exactly to use the flathead screwdriver. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, they're nasty. There's a tab on each, problem is, you don't know where tab is. I used some skinny needlenose pliers to grab the top flat part, lift so I could see, then turn the fastener 'till I could see the tab, then push it in with screwdriver.

Don's got the idea. If they are really stuck, you can yank them out with the pliers. Just don't break anything off one of them and they will go back. Make sure to cover the engine with a large towel, sheet or blanket. Otherwise, one of the clips is bound to get away from you and end up where it will never be seen again. I can attest to the fact that things that fall into the engine area are usually lost for good.

Its funny how when you need an idea about something coming up shortly and someone else asks the same questions.[?]

Im eventually going to move my spray head down to the, I guess the cowl area, the part that sets under the hood area. My new hood bows in the middle like turbomangt's does. It has no built in spray heads because it would distroy the look of it. I need about a whole week end to do this.

Hey PT CHIX,

Nice looking ride, where did you get the billet grill from?
