Default Another tough decision

Faced with another tough decision with regard to lowering springs. From reading the forum I have discovered that different companies springs either keep the same "rake" (rear end a little higher than the front end) or even the body out. I have heard from people that like it both ways. Not sure what "look" I like. Crewzins car is even, and it looks awesome. Other cars lowered with a rake look good too. Man, I hate it when I can't make up my mind. [:I] Then I was thinking maybe I'd change the shocks, but I was told the shocks on the GT Turbo are an upgrade from the regular model. But air shocks would be cool, then you could stiffen or ease up on the amount of tension in the ride. any opinions on this? Gary

Gary,

BAG IT, then you can go as high or low as you want.

My opinion. The front is already low enough - some ramps and curbs are already a problem, so I didn't want the front lower - I just did rears, plus the rears are an easy do-it-yourself.
If you can go the bucks, air ride is the ticket - dial in what you want, then change it easily.

air ride would be sweet, but i am going to lower the rear end 3/4". this will take the rake out of the body so that it is even. having the rear end up on tip toes (well kinda) will put you at a disadvantage in cornering. lowering the rear will keep the rear end from swaying so much.(still no replacement for installing aftermarket sway bars front and rear)taking heighth out of the back, you will, in effect, raise the front lower lip of your pt a small amount. you know, like a teeter totter, using the front wheels as the pivot point. lower the rear end, raise the lower lip on the front end. having the front lower lip a little more off the ground, might give you enough clearance so that you will not have to worry about tearing the lip off at the next dip in the road. what ever you do, it can be undone. just like any other change, just takes money.
