Shaved door handles

I really like the look of shaved handles. A place across the bridge in Levitown Pa. advertises it will do it for 300.00 a door. but how do you get in?[:I]

I know of two ways to get in. One is a remote switch just like the one that came with your cruiser. The other is a switch or button on the outside (under door near ground) that when pushed, the doors pop out enough to grab them.

This always bothered me. What happens if your battery dies? I added a remote, exterior accessable jumper post (under the bumper).

I have my doors shaved and i have the poppers installed and the extra button under the car. But just in case i left my hatch handle and lock there so i can still get in if the battery dies. i guess i got a good deal on my doors i paid 100.00 a door. how close are you to warminster, Pa. maybe i can go talk to the guy and get u a better price then 300.00 a door.

Brown for that price will do it too. I live in NJ not far from there. What does that include. Do I have to buy the stuff to pop the doors also? Can this person also make the rear door suicide? Thanks

A couple of questions. Any problems in the winter? Doors freezing?
Did that include poppers? Any pics? Warminster is only 27 miles away so I may have added another thing to the growing list of MODS. Really like the look. I'm waiting for my painted mirrors and door pillars from Airbillester to arrive first, may get in touch with you after that I might put theAeroskirts on hold.[:X]

no problems freezing, i have had no problems at all yet. my doors are primered still so i am under construction right now. my guy will do suicide doors if you bring the kit. the poppers i have another who did them for me it was like 400 for the 2 front doors installed and that included the kit. not that bad of a price they do very nice work.

I actually like the dorr handles on the PT. If they were the now coomon pull-up handles, I'd think of shaving. I don't balme you for wanting to shave, just not for me on the PT.
Adding the jumping post in case of a dead battery is a great idea!
