Default Top Speed Limited?

Im new to the site and have a few questions. I just bought a Metallic Blue PT 5 speed. Does the 03 PT's have a speed regulator to stop it from going over a certain speed? Thanks for the help.

I believe the computer stops the the engine revolutions at a certain point which equals to about 110mph give or take a couple. The GT goes higher/faster.

The owners manual, of course not a place to find facts, says that for performance shifting to shift into 5th at 115. Im gussing that it stops a lil after that.

Here in Germany the turbo runs exactly 120 (200 km/h).

The Normal Aspirated PT's should be 118 mph and the turbo 128 mph. Of course the speedometers are typically slightly optimistic so you speedo will probably show 120 mph (130 mph for the turbo).

There's an engine rev limiter that prevents over-revving in any gear, including top gear.
