Default neon ground effects

Just got my neon ground effects installed on my 2003 Cruiser. Is it legal to display the lights while driving?

Better check your state laws, some allow it but have restrictions on the color, others don't allow it at all.

Blue is usually a no-no, and you shouldn't be able to see the bulbs, just the glow. USUALLY. Varies state to state.

That's why I love the set on my car, I have a white set and I pretty much run them every night w/ no hassles.

In South Carolina you cannot have Blue or Red at all, not even sitting still. They can be on while riding as long as you do not have those colors. They came to my old car club and gave everyone the copy of the law. Damn cops!

From what I've read, most states do not want to see the light source. A glow only is ok.
And the most common colors which are illegal are red, blue and green. Red and Blue are reserved for emergency vehicles only and I've been told green is for volunteer fire vehicles.

Also, at least here in TX, the colors MAY be allowed if they are only on certain sides of the car. Certainly red can be seen from the rear, but never from the front. And I've been told blue is not allowed anywhere on the vehicle. We have had a lot of discussions on this within our club officers and with state officials.

Again this varies greatly by state...and with the mood of the officer with which you have an encounter. We have had club members ticketed for the leds on the hood (blue) and red lights on the rear license plate.
