Thanks for the welcome.
My '03 is the automatic Classic Edition in Bright Silver Metallic with slate interior.
I have ordered the colour keyed rear spoiler from Chrysler. I think it looks great and from what I've read here on the forum it helps keep the back window clean as well.
I am also debating ordering the front bra from Chrysler as I have also read here about stone chips on the front end which are not something I want on my new baby.
Welcome, 03Classic to the Forum!!! As far as the bra, go online to check prices, I got a Wolf Full Bra for 1/2 of what the dealer wanted, no it dosen't have PT Cruiser emblem on it, but when I show the car, I remove it anyway.

Welcome to the Forum. If I ever have to buy another PT, I want the slate interior.
Question: What makes up the "Classic Edition"? I keep seeing PTs called this but must have slept through their introduction.
If you want the spoiler for the purpose of helping to keep the rear window clean, it needs to be the one that points down instead of up. Not as cool but more functional.[:I]

I agree with you on the slate interior, I think it looks good.
I'm a real newbie when it comes to PT Cruisers, but from what I've read so far it appears that the "Classic" is a nice way of saying the base model.
I hear what your saying about the rear spoiler. However, The Chrysler one looks cool on the car. The keeping the back window clean part is to justify the purchase to my better half. Once it's on there and doesn't really keep the window clean, she just chalks it up as another of my great ideas that didn't quite work (wink-wink)

Thanks for the tip. I'm sure there are others out there that are a better price, if your in the US. For us Canucks, by the time we pay shipping and handling and brokerage fees to get the stuff across the border, any potential savings are bye bye. Since the Chrysler one looks good, and has gotten good reviews from folks on this and other forums, I will probably go with it.

I picked up my brand new '03 PT Cruiser last night after work. It looks even better in my driveway than it did in the showroom. [?]
Unfortunately the weatherman didn't co-operate and it's raining (suppose to rain for the next three days). Oh well - I guess my first cleaning and detailing will be after the rain stops.

congrats on the PT. Since you bought yours in Canada, is there anything different on the canandian version vs. the US versions other than the speedometer is in KPH? Also, when you say "Classic03" did DC put out another special version like the Dream III?

As I have said previously, I'm a newbie to PT Cruisers.
Here in Canada, the models listed are "Classic Edition", "Touring Edition", "Limited Edition", "Turbo Edition", and "GT Edition".
I suspect that "Classic Edition" is another term for "Base model".
Mine is the base model with the automatic trans, 16" aluminum wheels, a CD player, and overhead console with temp and compass.

Picked up my new '03 Classic Edition from the dealer last Wednesday.[?]
I've now spent a week with my PT. So far, it is all that I expected it to be. It's fun to drive, even though it has rained here every day since I picked it up.
Can't wait until we finally get some good weather.
I had it back to the dealer yesterday to have a factory rear spoiler put on. I think it looks great and changes the whole look of the back of the car.
