Texas recently passed a law making street racing a serious felony with serious jail time!

Also, if you kill someone, "murder" becomes "capital murder" and you don't live through that sentence.
sick, very sick.

what ever stand you take on street racing, encourage all you know to sign up for organ donation. most states will ask you about organ donation when you renew your license. the grim reaper visits us all. some much younger than they think. hell, when i'm gone, if someone needs a spare from me--help yourself. my family all know that i have consented to be an organ donor. truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Hey BlueBlurCruiser,

I don't know if I'm the fist one to say it or not because I couldn't actually stand to read through the repeated and completely pointless whining of people who can't stand racing. But....congratulations on your win. Like some have said, everyone has done something stupid, wrong, and illegal in their younger days, which may have had them killed or imprisoned...but like us none of them regret it.

Many things get people killed, someone's examples of hockey games or football games weren't exactly the best examples, but the amount of innocent bystanders killed by street-racers aren't exactly staggeringly high numbers in comparison to some of the stupid things that ALL age ranges get people killed for....drunk driving being an example which is done by all ages from 15-all the way on up. Second hand smoke (don't get me started on smokers) kills more a year than street racing. How many innocent bystanders are killed a year by "disregard" for others?! Is it fair that I should have to breathe that filth into my lungs?

Anyways I could go on and on and on, but again CONGRATULATIONS BlueBlur Cruiser on your kill. Keep us posted on any future kills.

Oh yeah p.s....he did say "if you don't like street racing...don't read this" so why even bother reading it? Just leave it alone.

But does second hand tire smoke count?[:I]

Well, think how you would like it if the smokers ignored the law like street racers do and just lit up anywhere they felt like it?

You expect the smokers to abide by the law, but it doesn't apply to street racers.

Oh by the way, I'm an experienced smoker. I can smoke a cigarette and not harm anyone else. I know how to handle my cigarette (same logic used by the street racers).

Hey, what can I say. This thread and others that speak of "kill", it is something that will be done but is still not kosher. One speaks of a kill and gets his a++ reamed while another boasts and gets gorified. Whats going on. Wrong is wrong. It doesn't matter if your 18 or whatever, or if you think your a professional, its wrong. Of course it is fun to rev it up and go for it but if it is not on the track, it's wrong and dangerous. And when one says that they will race someone in front of the "black and white", well, that someone I would consider a lose canon. There is a place and time and that should be left to the track.

"Well, think how you would like it if the smokers ignored the law like street racers do and just lit up anywhere they felt like it?"

Seems to me that this is what most smokers do anyways...[:I]

There are a ton of places where smoking is not allowed....but I'm forced to inhale that crap anyways. Concert Venues...Amusement Parks...etc etc.

If you are in a no smoking area and someone is smoking, I agree with you! The person that is breaking the law by smoking in a non-smoking area has no regard for anyone else and is only thinking of himself!

You should not have to put up with smoking in a non-smoking area!

Just as I should not have to put up with racing in a non-racing area!

The person that is breaking the law by racing in a non racing area has no regard for anyone else and is only thinking of himself!
